Ngawakho Projects (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through ngawakho.co.za, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to align with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect
We only collect information you give us directly. When you submit the quote request form on this site, we collect your name, company name (optional), email address, phone number, property address, and the description of the work you need.
If you contact us about a solar installation and choose to send us your municipal electricity bills, those documents will also contain personal information such as your name, service address and account number.
Our web host records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type and the pages you visited. We do not use these logs to identify individuals.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a site assessment.
- To prepare and send you a written quotation.
- To size a solar system correctly against your actual consumption.
- To manage the project and communicate with you while work is underway.
- To meet our record-keeping obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislation.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not add you to a mailing list without your agreement.
Who may see your information
Your information may be shared with subcontractors, suppliers or professionals appointed on your project where it is necessary to deliver the work — for example, an electrician needing the site address, or a municipality processing an SSEG registration in your name. We share only what is needed for that specific purpose.
Form submissions are delivered by email and stored in this website’s database on servers provided by our hosting company.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 24 months. Records relating to completed projects, including health and safety documentation, are kept for the periods required by applicable legislation.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information. No website or email system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we are using it, or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. To exercise any of these rights, email info@ngawakho.co.za.
Cookies
